Are you looking for interesting summer activities for your children?

Do you have kids at home that are crazy about animals, nature, and wildlife?

Fauna’s Educational Service is proud to offer Zoology Camp, where members meet to interact with and learn the science of animal care and conservation through the use of our amazing collection of reptiles and amphibians from around the world.

Fauna’s Zoology Summer Sessions promises a fun, unique, hands-on program that brings children together that share similar interest and focuses on the proper care, handling and maintenance of both popular pets and rare, intriguing animals you may have never heard of while allowing your child to interact and directly learn from these incredible creatures. We are excited to announce that our summer sessions will not only focus on reptiles and amphibians, but also Zoology and Small Animal Care!

Register your children for a summer filled with nature themed art projects, story-time sessions, and lots of learning and interacting with guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, bearded dragons, leopard geckos, and many, many more fascinating animals.

A sample of topics your children can expect to learn about include:

1. What is a rodent? We will discuss the qualities that all rodents possess and meet rodents from all around the world.

2. Popular Pet Reptiles! Meet the best reptiles for beginning learners.

3. Popular Pet Rodents! Learn the differences between mice, rats, gerbils, guinea pigs, and all the different types of hamsters and the work that goes into caring for them.

4. Animal Nutrition Club members will learn about the natural diets of our animals, and the importance of high quality food items and proper nutrition. We will get a chance to prepare and offer meals to some of our animal friends.

5. Animal Grooming & Hygiene Pets come along with many responsibilities and their cleanliness is one of them. Club members will help bathe and brush some of our furrier friends, and help give the reptiles a nice soaking.

6. Other lessons will involve using advanced animal science equipment, learning basic animal biology, creating terrariums and other habitats for animals, discussing environmental issues, and much more!
