Meet Dr. Sam Williams
Join us for this opportunity to meet the man who is saving the Amazon Parrots on the island of Bonaire!
Please come hear Dr. Sam Williams, Director of the ECHO Project speak about the Yellow-shouldered Amazon Parrot, one of the many threatened parrot species of Central & South America. With fewer than 900 remaining in the wild, the charismatic Yellow-shouldered Amazon Parrot (Amazona barbadensis) are vulnerable to extinction.
It will be a treat to hear Dr. Williams tell stories of rescue, rehab, release, education and research – all which have led to a wonderfully successful contribution to the parrot world – a model for all to use to save wild parrots!
