Make your child’s next birthday party a unique wildlife adventure at Fauna!

A Fauna Birthday Presentation combines learning and fun with hands-on animal encounters. Colorful storybooks and our collection of friendly animal ambassadors help make any child’s birthday a memorable one.

Our wildlife presentations teach kids about the wonders of the natural world. Petting and feeding demonstrations allow the children to safely interact with our exotic reptiles, rodents and insects.

How long is a Fauna Birthday Party?

A typical birthday presentation is 45 minutes in length and costs $350.00 (+ tax) with an additional 15-20 minutes allotted for snacks.

Is my child too young for a Fauna Birthday Party?

Fauna Birthday Presentations are geared towards children 6 years of age and older.

What kinds of animals are used for birthday parties?

As the date of a birthday event approaches, parents will receive a list of animals that will be available for presentation. Typically, kids have the opportunity to meet and learn about:

  • Bearded Dragons
  • Crested Geckos
  • Frilled Dragons
  • various Tortoises
  • Corn Snakes
  • Teddy Bear Hamsters
  • Hairless Rats
  • Blue-tongue Skinks
  • Stick Insects
  • Guinea Pigs
  • Madagascar Hissing Roaches
  • Leopard Geckos/African Fat-tailed Geckos

What is the policy on food?

No birthday party is complete without cake!! However, as animal care workers, heath regulations prohibit any Fauna employee from handling food items in any way.

Due to the nature of the presentation, we ask that food items be kept simple and easy to dispose of. In the past, some parents have opted for cupcakes, juice boxes, and other “easy” food items.

Fauna employees cannot distribute nor dispose of food items. We provide receptacles and ask that an adult involved in the planning of the party dispose of leftover food.

Can we decorate for the party?

Fauna prides itself on being a beautiful pet store with a naturalistic setting complete with calling birds and frogs, so there tends to not be a need for decorations. Furthermore, certain decorations such as balloons can scare some of the parrots in the shop. We do provide table coverings, but little else in needed.

Can the adult touch the animals as well?

Absolutely! We encourage adults to participate in the presentation, ask questions, and are certainly welcomed to pet the animals as well.
